What's the Problem ?

Creating Opportunities for Person with Disabilities

Disability and poverty are interlinked. The Healer Foundation supports disable persons from vulnerable background to generate livelihood and poverty reduction. Person with disabilities is even more vulnerable because they are often socially marginalized and faced widespread discrimination that restrain their access to assets.
THF creates opportunities for person with disabilities.

The Healer Foundation mission is to enrich the quality of life and bring dignity to differently-abled people by building support systems and enhancing their confidence. Overcoming the difficulties faced by people with disabilities requires interventions to remove environmental and social barriers. Deprived differently abled person struggles to meet the basic requirement in life such as food, shelter, clothing etc. THF supports physically challenged people through housing project. Because Shelter for disabled is not merely the protection of his/her life and limb. It is a home where he/she has opportunities to grow physically, mentally, intellectually and spiritually.

Livelihood opportunities

The Healer Foundation strives to provide the right platform and opportunity to persons with disabilities from poor socio- economic backgrounds to earn their livelihood and be economically independent. THF creates direct livelihood opportunities for people with disabilities through social enterprise. THF supports differently abled to start their own entrepreneurship, establishing their own petty shop and tailoring unit. This effort enables them to improve their quality of life.

Focus

Empower physically

The Healer Foundation has carried out an outreach program aimed at giving out mobility aids to the physically challenged in the society. THF distributed wheelchair among under privileged persons with disabilities who never had access to required aid due to financial situations. There are many people in the society who need such help and THF vowed to reach out more and more people in need.

Persons with disabilities faces discrimination in every sphere of life. Disability is extremely challenging and a person living with it has to fight daily battles for the most basic rights and to be included in the mainstream. The Healer Foundation takes initiative to give these people an opportunity to earn their livelihood and assist them to meaningfully participate in the society with pride.

Our ultimate responsibility is towards these people and their families.
